Commission a piece that reflects you — without depicting you.
Tell Me Your StoryLet’s co-create a painting that captures your story, your space, or your strength — whether through a treasured memory or a quiet, abstract portrait.
Commission a One-of-a-Kind Work of Art
Your personal life journey is an infinite well of inspiration.
Each commission is an invitation to tell your story whether it’s rooted in a place, a moment, or a presence that shaped you.
I am the hand that paints it but the story is your own.
From old family photos to cherished spaces, I take your reference material and transform it into a layered, emotional translation.
Every piece is unique, grounded in your world, yet reimagined through my abstract visual language.
Some works become soft meditations on memory. Others evolve into bold, faceless portraits inspired by my My Women series where identity fades and essence takes form.
Two Ways to Commission a Personal Work
Abstract portrait or a memory based space.
A space. A moment. A life lived. Commission inspired by Interior of the mind collection
Memory-Based Commissions
A portrait without a face. A presence, not a likeness. Commission Inspired by My Women
Abstract Portraits
You feel connected to my visual language — the texture, the palette, the quiet emotional depth.
You want to tell a story that’s uniquely yours — through a medium that lasts.
You want something that brings intimacy, strength, or memory into your space — not just decoration.
You saw a piece you loved that’s sold or the wrong size — and want something made just for you.
You’re ready to be part of a creative process that’s personal, intuitive, and grounded in trust.
Commissioning is simple, thoughtful, and collaborative.
1. Get in touch.
Tell me what you’re envisioning — a place, a person, a feeling, a memory. We’ll discuss format, timeline, and palette.
2. We agree on the size, direction, and budget.
Once aligned, a 30% deposit secures your spot in my schedule.
3. I begin.
You’ll receive updates — images or short videos — so you can see the work as it unfolds. I’ll stay open to your feedback, but protect the soul of the piece.
4. Completion.
You receive high-resolution photos and a video of the final work. A studio visit can be arranged if you’d like to view it in person.
5. Final payment + shipping.
Once approved, the balance is paid. Your piece is professionally packaged and shipped via secure courier, with certificate of authenticity.
Cancellation policy:
If the piece doesn’t align with your expectations (rare, but possible), I’ll refund your deposit and release the work to the open market.

Marc and Suzanne Brenner, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, USA:
"While I’m just a novice art collector, my wife has a keen understanding of art, having worked at The Metropolitan Museum of Art for 18 years. We saw Anna Sudbina’s The Library on Singulart and both fell in love with it. We immediately wanted to purchase the painting, but the space we had in mind really called for a larger piece. So we contacted Anna and asked her if she could revise the work to fit the space we needed. She agreed, and began the process, even going so far as to send us photos and video of the progress she was making. When we received the final piece and hung it on the wall, it was absolutely perfect! It now has become one of our favorite pieces of art in our possession. Thank you Anna!"

Suzanne O’Donovan, Somerset, UK:
“I came across Anna’s work online and loved the texture and softness of the paint technique alongside the defined linear ink lines. I had been looking for something for our living room and so, commissioned Anna to do a piece for above our mantle. I’m so pleased with the results - without being too ‘matchy’ it perfectly complements the fireplace, and the rest of the room. This was my first ever art commission - so I was a little nervous but Anna kept in touch throughout and both the work and delivery were very prompt, and I have something beautiful to gaze at from my sofa! I’d have no hesitation commissioning Anna again or recommending her.”

Dr Steven Harris, London, UK:
"Having known Anna as a friend for many years and coming from a family of artists myself, I’ve always been struck by her natural talent and unique style of painting. Her forms, shapes and use of colour are extraordinary and captivating on an emotional level. When I moved into my new home, it was only a matter of time until I asked her to do some paintings for me (just purchased my third one!)Anna was able to take some general guidelines to put together some pieces which have really brought the rooms in my house to life with moving, colourful and vibrant pieces.Really I can not recommend her enough."

Bastiaan Smits, CEO Ebony And Co Global:
"Anna is an authentic artist with a great personality. Her artwork has a truly own style oozing a vibrant positivity and joie de vivre. With that, she has a natural understanding of interior design, and how the right pallet of colours can elevate a room."
How long does a commission take?
It depends on size and complexity, but most commissions are completed within 4–6 weeks from deposit to delivery.
If you have a specific deadline (gift, installation, event), let me know — I’ll always do my best to accommodate.
Do I need to have a clear idea of what I want?
Not at all. Some collectors send detailed references, others come with just a feeling.
Part of my role is to help translate your emotion or memory into something visual. We’ll shape it together.
Can I send you a photo or object for inspiration?
Yes — for both memory-based and abstract portrait commissions, references are welcome.
That might be a personal photograph, a gesture, a place, or even a piece of writing.
I don’t copy the image — I extract its presence.
What sizes do you offer?
Most commissions fall between 40x50 cm and 120x150 cm, but I’m flexible.
We’ll choose a scale that works with your space and emotional intent.
Can I request specific colours?
Yes, though I’ll always guide based on harmony and balance.
We can discuss tones you’re drawn to — or I can work from your interior palette.
Will I see the painting before it’s finished?
Yes. I’ll send work-in-progress photos and/or short video clips during the process.
You’re welcome to share thoughts — this is a conversation, not a hand-off.
Do you ship internationally?
Absolutely. Your artwork will be professionally packaged and shipped via insured courier worldwide.
Delivery cost is calculated based on location and size.
What happens if I don’t connect with the final piece?
I want you to love your commission. Throughout the process, I’ll share progress updates so you feel confident the work is moving in the right direction. In the rare event that the final piece doesn’t feel right for you, your deposit is retained to cover time and materials, but you won’t be asked to complete the balance.
Can I visit your studio?
Yes — if you’re local or passing through, I’d love to welcome you in. Just let me know when you inquire.
Each story is unique, each artwork is unique and therefore I
understand that you may have more questions. Please don't hesitate to
contact me, there are no wrong or silly questions. I am happy to book a

Just send me a note in the enquiry form below and I will get back to you right away.
where to start
Let's talk and find the right reference images to create an abstract painting that tells your story.

Here the collector commissioned a piece of art to remind him of South Africa - the country where he grew up. He chose photographs of the South African landscape and wild lions as a point of departure. Above, you can see stages of work in progress and the final result.
commissioned artwork
Private commission
reimagined through My Women series
Private commission
Fragrant Harbour.
The collector wanted to have an abstract piece that would remind him of Hong Kong. We agreed the colour palette and incorporated the city's skyline and architectural elements of HK airport designed by Norman Foster.
Private commission
A portrait of Frizzi.
Named after vino frizante, she equally enjoys nature walks and cafe terraces. The portrait captures her bubbly character within the abstracted setting of Innsbruck and Turin.
"We love it and couldn't think of a more beautiful way to capture our little family member."
business commission
The artwork commissioned for the head office of Ebony And Co, a luxury flooring company, to celebrate its journey of 20 years incorporates the city skylines of New York, London and Moscow, the flag of the Province of Limburg and more organic wood textures.
PRIVATE COMMISSION
A Dance Of Two Cities, an artwork that features the two significant cities in the collector's life - Amsterdam and Saint Petersburg, using a soft pastel yet happy colour palette that complements the interior design of their living room.
PRIVATE commission
Artwork that follows the collector's life journey includes urban locations of the four cities: New Delhi, Los Angeles, Sydney, and London as well as a selection of personal objects and references.
Private commission
Marc and Suzanne loved an existing painting The Library but needed a larger canvas and a different width to height ratio for their wall. You can read their testimonial above.
designer commission
Here we worked closely with an interior designer to create a calming artwork for the collector's bedroom to complement the colour scheme of the room.
Private commission
The collector chose two existing artworks and decided to combine the elements in one painting. We also took into consideration the proportions of the space above the fireplace mantel and the mood of the living room.
